We DID IT!!!
Our 2015 Relay For Life of Bennington was wonderful and we thank YOU for all of your help!
It might have rained, but that didn't get us down! We had teams walking in the rain and THAT shows true Relay HEART!
We still have some Fundraising to do to reach our goal of $98,000 and we can do it! We have already heard from lots of teams that we have some summer fundraisers including yard sales and car washes happening!
We LOVE your Relay Spirit and we won't stop until we finish this fight to END CANCER!
We hope you all enjoyed your time at our Relay and will be joining us next year! While walking around the track, we heard some great feedback and some terrific ideas for 2016 that we can’t wait to get started on.
Be sure to “like” and check out our Facebook page for all of our day-of photos.
Just because Relay is over, doesn’t mean you have to STOP just yet! We know some of you have bake sales and yard sales planned for this summer and we want you to know that donations and money raised can STILL be submitted/turned in.
The deadline for the 2015 year is Friday, August 28th. Up until that day, you can still go online and make online donations to your site or to the Relay in general. Any cash you have will need to be turned into a check and that check can be mailed directly up to our office, (Relay For Life of Bennington County, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495) where we will deposit that for you and get that money credited on the website.
You can also turn in your donations to us at our Wrap Up Gathering (Date and Time to be announced soon….keep your eye out for an email blast!)
Want to help us plan for next year? We could always use your ideas and help! We have a place for everyone on our committee that is interested and we love having new ideas and new perspectives on our team! Just email Svea at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
Please note that you will be receiving the automated ACS Customer Satisfaction Survey soon and we DO READ them and want to read what you have to say! If qualified, your team and individual incentive gifts will be email verified and mailed directly to you in the next 12-18 days.
Thank you again for ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK that you put into our Relay!
Your Bennington Relay Event Leadership Team
What is Relay For Life?
Relay For Life is a community event where people come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. Friends and family, coworkers, companies, and other groups form teams and those teams raise money to help fund research and patient care through the American Cancer Society. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer - just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
Relay For Life teams “camp out” during the event at their site and take turns walking around the track. Team tent sites can be decorated and teams can sell food, items, and activities at their site for day-of fundraising. Events are between 12 and 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
Where the Money Goes:
Funds raised by the American Cancer Society Relay For Life support the organization’s programs, which focus on four distinct areas: research, education, advocacy and service. Check out this great VIDEO on where your money goes for more information!
Please check back often for updates to the boxes below. We will have new challenges and contests coming up!
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world's largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Today, with the support of thousands of volunteers like you, the American Cancer Society is helping save more than 400 lives a day. And we won't stop until we finish the fight against cancer! Please join us!
