23 teams and 321 participants have raised $88,242.05

Total above may not reflect all participants, teams, and donations

And just like that, another incredible and inspiring Relay has come and gone!

THANK YOU for all of your hard work and participation this year! Your passion and dedication to finishing the fight against cancer has shined through. We are so grateful for your commitment to raise funds and awareness about a disease that affects so many.

At Relay, we brought in $8,500! Between the current online donations and the money we brought in at Relay, we are just over 50% of our fundraising goal. I am confident you are going to reach 60% of your fundraising goal by the end of the month!!! There is huge potential for fundraising over the summer such as having a car wash, selling popsicles and lemonade at summer sporting events and taking advantage of ice cream stores that donate a percentage of proceeds to our cause when you set it up. I know we can make our goal to help create a world with more birthdays!!!

Donations for this Relay season are being accepted until August 31st. Please be aware that your hard earned fundraising money is currently being processed and your credit will be entered online within the next two weeks. I will send an email once all the funds have been successfully entered and then, at that time, if something is incorrect on your fundraising page, I will give you the information on how you can have it corrected. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we get all funds processed and entered. You deserve the credit and recognition for all of your fundraising efforts and we will make sure that that happens!

We hope you had a wonderful experience with the Relay For Life, however we recognize and understand that sometimes things don't go exactly how you'd hoped they would. Making your experience with this event a positive one is important to us for two reasons: First, we want to make sure our own performance is on par with your level of commitment; if it is not, we need to know that - and only you can tell us! Second, we strive to continuously improve experiences people have with us, whether seeking help or supporting our mission through a Relay For Life event. Your input, along with that of thousands of other people who participate in this event every year, will help us do so. Earlier this week, all participants were sent an email that invited you to participate in a survey. The survey should take you 15 minutes or less to complete, and all responses will remain confidential. We invite you to please give us feedback, both good and not as good, so that we can improve our performance and be even better for next year. Thank you, in advance, for your time and honesty.

With that said, if you're interested in having a greater input and making a bigger difference at our Relay, we invite you to join our Event Leadership Team (ELT)! Everyone you saw wearing a green shirt at Relay is a member of the Event Leadership Team. The ELT is a group of committed, passionate Relayers just like you who meet together once a month to plan and execute Relay. We are always looking for new people to join our team to give us fresh perspective and help us to continue to improve your Relay For Life from year to year. We are especially looking for students to be a part of our team and we are actively looking to create a student sub group. (Yes, this counts for community service hours!) If you or anyone you know is interested in getting more involved and becoming a part of our Event Leadership Team, please contact me, Brittany MacLeod, your Relay For Life Community Manager (email= Brittany.MacLeod@cancer.org, office phone= 508-270-4670). Can't wait to hear from you!
