Holiday Party - Wed, 12/3
Norwich Winterfest Parade - Sat, 11/29
The parade is this weekend! Stop by the Taftville Firehouse on Friday night at 3pm to help finish decorating the float, then everyone who wants to join in for the parade should meet by11:00am in front of NFA on Saturday morning to finish decorating and get ready before the parade which starts at 1pm. Contact Nancy(firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details and to volunteer with our float!
If possible please wear a Relay or Survivor shirt/hat/etc, but it's going to be COLD. If you don't have any Relay gear to wear outside a jacket then just dress warm and don't worry about showing a Relay shirt.
Rich & Kelly have shirts for us to hand out and they are all rolled up with "Save The Date" tags attached. Come by to walk in the parade and pass these out to spread the word about our Relay!
Holiday Party - Wed, 12/3 (Taftville Firehouse)
On Wednesday 12/3 at 6pm we have our Holiday Party! The meeting will be at 6:00 pm for everyone. There WILL NOT be two different meetings for the Committee and Team Captains - it's for everyone at 6pm. We'll cover a few Relay topics but it's more about relaxing and having some fun. We have a couple activities planned:
Cookie Swap - Bring one dozen of your favorite cookies and a container to bring home one dozen cookies that others have baked. This is an optional activity, but lots of fun!
Yankee Swap - OPTIONAL: Bring a wrapped gift valued between $5 and $10 - please no more than $10. The Yankee Swap will be done in the fashion of a lottery where everyone will get a number. Then gifts will be chosen in number order and then let the Swapping begin! Some suggested gifts could be a $5 or $10 Dunkin Donuts Card, 5 Lottery Tickets, A Coffee Mug full of Hershey Kisses, etc. So many things you could do. Again, this is an optional activity, but lots of fun!
Please don't stay away if you don't wish to participate in these activities! Come to hang out with your Relay friends and it may be pretty entertaining to watch!
Food - There's food too! We have a list from the last meeting with things people signed up to bring. We will send a reminder out this weekend with what you signed up for. If you were not at the meeting but want to bring something please bring your favorite appetizer, dish, or dessert to share.
We need every one of you to continue steps towards finishing thefight!
