The Fairbanks Relay for Life was started two decades ago when Fairbanksans decided they wanted to fight back against cancer. They decided to start a Relay for Life, and since then, it has taken on a life of its own. In twenty years, Fairbanks has raised over $4 million dollars in the fight against cancer: donation by donation, and story by story. We are proud to say that we have worked to fund the best and brightest minds available in the fight against this disease. But we don't stop there. Whether it's fundraising on the track, driving a cancer patient to treatment, or helping them navigate the healthcare system, we are here to say no one is alone in the fight against cancer. Please join us in the Golden Heart of Alaska as we support our friends, family and loved ones in this fight!

IF YOU OR A LOVED ONE YOU KNOW HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER:
Our Patient Navigator, Jessica Rivera, is stationed in Providence Cancer Center in Anchorage, AK. She is available to anyone with questions, concerns or needs. She can be reached at (907) 212.5605, or at email@example.com.
Regardless of time, we also have a 24/7 help line at 1-800-227-2345. For more information, visit cancer.org.
The American Cancer Society is able to provide a limited number of donated flights through RAVN Alaska, and may be able to provide donated hotel rooms for visits out of town. In addition, we can provide rides to and from treatment, using volunteer drivers in our Road to Recovery Program.
We also offer Look Good, Feel Better courses at the J. Michael Carroll Cancer Center. Using licensed estheticians and cosmotologists, we work to give women the skills and tools (including donated makeup kits) to manage their appearance during cancer treatment.
For all these programs and more, contact Jessica Rivera, and we will work to find resources for you, depending on availibility and scheduling.
