Fight Back Mission Statement
"Colorectal cancer is
the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and third leading cause of cancer
death in both sexes in the United
States. It usually begins as a polyp,
which is a precancerous growth
in the lining of the rectum and colon."
Aging increases your chances of getting affected.
Timely screening is key!
- to detect polyps before they turn cancerous
- to find cancer early, when it's typically asymptomatic and more treatment responsive
- Screening options vary from at-home tests to those done in the hospital or doctor’s office.
Talk to your doctor about getting tested, if you are 50 or older and even if you have no symptoms.
