An Exciting Special Announcement!
We are happy to announce that Relay For Life of the Santa Clarita Valley has been chosen as the benefiting charity of the Sierra Pelona Valley Wine Festival. This is the third year for this fun event and we are so excited to be involved. The event takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 12 to 4 PM. In addition to wine, beer, tequila, chocolates, spirits, and specialty foods, there will be vendors, an art exhibit, live music, and more!
See the event flyer for more information. For tickets, go to www.reyeswinery.com/spv-winefestival. Need additional information? Contact Stacy Kupfer at Stacy@SCVRelay.org.
Remember (Luminaria) Slideshow:
Again this year, we will have the beautiful Remember Slideshow just after the Remember Ceremony (9:00 PM on Saturday). This slideshow commemorates the loved ones we have lost as well as those who are still in our lives. If you would like to submit a photo, please download the Slideshow Permission Form. Submit the photo and form to Kathy Caplan at Slideshow@SCVRelay.org (you can scan the completed form or simply include all the information in an email).
New to Relay? Check out our How Relay Works booklet!
Interested in getting involved with Relay but wonder what it's all about? Is it a race? Do I have to train? If you're looking for some quick answers, read our new booklet, "How does Relay For Life work?" It's only a couple pages and will give you the basics. For more detail on the event, including what to expect on the day of Relay, see our complete guide, Relay 101. For more information, contact info@SCVRelay.org or see our Contact Us page.
Looking for ideas for your 2015 fundraisers? We have help!
One of the most popular ways to fundraise is to host a home and/or catalog party. You will find that most companies that sell this way will offer fundraisers, too. A particularly popular product over the past couple years is Popcornopolis! You can pick up a couple order sheets and sell to your friends, coworkers, family, neighbors--almost everyone enjoys popcorn! The good thing about this fundraiser is that even small orders can pay off because Popcornopolis donates 50% of the purchase price back to your Team! For Popcornopolis contact information, see their flier. For more fundraisers of this type, see the Fundraising Opportunties list on our Fundraising Central page. Or, contact our Fundraising Chair at Fundraising@SCVRelay.org.
