Event: Relay For Life of Macalester College on Friday, April 04, 2014
$555 raised $200 goal
Hey y'all! Thanks for stopping by! Hannah here, trying to write a persuasive message that will encourage you to donate money for people with cancer, but I realised I don't really have to do that. Why? Because cancer sucks, and it goes without saying.
Millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Will that be someone close to us? Will it be me? Or how about you? We have all been impacted by cancer in some form, and will continue to be. But what if we could change that?
Relay For Life, a 24-hour relay-walk, is not only a way to join our community to fight back against cancer, but it is also a way to inspire hope by raising funds and cancer awareness to help those facing the disease, and I ask for your help.
I walk to honour the memory of those I personally have loved and lost to this disease. My grandparents, friends, classmates-- I walk for them, and for the countless others out there who have lost their lives to cancer but who don't have someone to walk on their behalf. I also walk to celebrate with those dear to me who can call themselves cancer survivors, in the hopes that the money raised at these relay events will help all the others battling cancer win their fights too.
I know you have been affected by cancer too, and I ask you now to chip in what you can for the person that just popped into your head-- for that mother, sister, friend, nephew, for those loved ones who continue to fight so hard to overcome this disease. We can help them fight too.
Thank you to my supporters!
