Why We Formed a Relay Team
Kids Fight Cancer FC are a group of young ladies that play U10 Academy soccer in the state of SC for Lexington County Soccer Club. As they get ready to begin a new season, they have decided to do more than just play soccer.
Lexington County Soccer Club's core values of character, integrity, accountability and responsibility on and off the field are taken very seriously. This year, These group of girls are putting those core values to work off the field by raising monies and supporting relayforlife.org. Relay for life has touch millions of people over the years and we intend to join this cause by celebrating those who have battled this horrible disease, remember those who are no longer with us and help fight back against against cancer.
We humbly ask our community to support us in our mission to raise $20,000 by May 31st 2013. We don't simply just want to ask for a donation, we want to earn it!
Kyra, Abby, Hayley, Kallie, Khloe, Jessica, Reese, Taylor, Elizabeth, and Makayla have made it a mission to do their part in by playing in 7 tournaments through May 2012 including the SC State Cup. We humbly ask that for every tournament we win, you donate $5.00 dollars to relayforlife.org on our webpage. These tournaments are held in the Southeast and are very difficult. It involves playing an average of 4 games over 2 days with the 2 finalist playing in a finale.
Secondly, we will ask that you donate $1.00 for every game we win during the regular season and $0.50 for every goal we score. This is a difficult task they have decided to put on their shoulders. We will post our games and scores as the season progresses. Please feel free to support us live at one of our games or tournaments.
