Why I Participate in a Relay Event
Relay for Life is a great way to help by supporting the search for a cure for cancer and by raising awareness in my community! I know that millions of people are diagnosed with cancer every year and any way to help them is a great way to make a difference in my community! The people in my life who have been affected inspire me to Relay and I participate to make a difference and to help protect people in the future so that someday people won't have to fear Cancer anymore.
Who I'm Participating For
There are a lot of people in my life who have or have had Cancer, so I Relay for them. This includes my aunt and grandmother, who are both Breast Cancer survivors. Also, my grandfather had skin cancer and my great-uncle, who passed away in the last year, suffered from colon cancer. Finally, my grandfather has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer, so I Relay to support him and the rest of my family. Relay for Life helps me stand behind everyone whose lives are impacted by Cancer.
Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Every day, the American Cancer Society helps people take steps to reduce their risk of cancer or find it early when it is easiest to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people need it throughout their journey to get well. They are investing in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat, and cure cancer, and are working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight.
I have signed up to walk and fundraise in my local Relay for Life event. I hope you will consider joining my team and/or making a donation in support of my efforts.
Thank you to my supporters!
