Why I Participate in a Relay Event
I participate because I know it's a win-win situation. The money that I raise goes to an AMAZING cause, and I get the pride that comes from knowing that I helped someone's life.
Who I?m Participating For
I'm lucky enough to not personally know any cancer survivors or victims. However, I have been there to witness a friend or family member who had someone close to them be affected by this disease. Even though, it's not ME being affected, I can still see the impact of such a situation on someone and their family and friends. Their lives change without their consent, and they're forced into a battle. One that some don't come back from.
So I'm in this for all those who have family members or friends affected by cancer. So they can live their lives happily and know their loves ones are safe.
Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Every day, the American Cancer Society helps people take steps to reduce their risk of cancer or find it early when it is easiest to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people need it throughout their journey to get well. They are investing in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat, and cure cancer, and are working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight.
I have signed up to walk and fundraise in my local Relay For Life event. I hope you will consider joining my team and/or making a donation in support of my efforts.
SERIOUSLY. CONSIDER IT.
Thank you to my supporters!
