Why I Relay?
On February 15, 2008, my sister Natalie was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor that eventually ended her life here on this earth. She passed away on November 24, 2008. While she was sick, she inspired her friends, people in the community, and even people she didn't know. Since she has passed, her memory lives on in my heart and the hearts of everyone whom she has impacted. My sister exemplified how to fully trust God no matter what situation is thrown your way. Now, I pass on Natalie's legacy through this team, I Heart NY.
UNC Relay for Life has provided me and hundreds of other students at Carolina the ability to fight back against cancer. We all envision a world with no cancer, or at least with a cure for as many forms of cancer as possible because we don't want anyone to have to go through the struggles that cancer brings. More likely than not, cancer will impact everyone in some way. Cancer is very real, but we can fight it. Will you join me and the rest of Relay in this fight?
Thank you to my supporters!
