My Reason to Relay

I am participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life because I want to make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer. I have seen too many people around me be affected by cancer. One of my moms good friends Cindy Simmons went through the battle with breast cancer and I am now happy to say that she is cancer free. On the other hand there are others who do not live through this battle. My grandfather is one of those innocent people who has fallen victim to liver cancer and was not able to fight it because of his age and the stage of cancer that he was in. Right now there are people out there fighting cancer like my friend Nick Kim. He thought that he was cancer free but in a short amount of time he had a relapse of the spinal cnacer. It is so hard to see others go through this and that is why I want to make a difference by joining the Relay for Life cause.

The Gwinnett really for life is the biggest cancer fundraiser in the nation and Norcross high school is glad to be part of it! This year we are Ranglin' Up a Cure and we need all the support we can get to make our team successful!
