MY REASON TO RELAY:
Please Help In the Fight Against Cancer!
2011 was the year I first really got involved in Realy For Life. I was unaware how big of a deal it really was until I went to the fair grounds and saw how many people have been affected by it back in May 2011. 90% of people know somebody affected by cancer, including me. My beloved Grammy recently passed away in November, 2012 after two long battles with lung cancer. She did so well and pushed through one round of cancer and put it in remission and we were overjoyed!! Unfortunately, the beast came back and my Grammy got sick again... She was a trooper and she stuck through the pain for as long as she could, but her body was understandably worn out. I can speak for my whole family when I say that we love her and miss her so dearly... However, it isn't all bad: My best friend's dad beat cancer after many chemo sessions. (Proud of you Mr. Catterall!) And recently, one of my very good friends has been diagnosed with cancer but has put it into remission with your support! (Atta boy, Nick.) This organization is incredible!! This society means a lot to me and helps make a difference to so many people. I try to do my part to support Relay for Life where I can: I am a Norcross Student Leader of the Norcross High School RFL Team and I volunteer whenever I can at the American Cancer Society. Please support me, this cause, and, if possible, help by donating a small amount to help me conquer cancer!!! Everything is appreciated. Thank you so so much :)
