My Reason to Relay

Unfortunately, none of us has to look very far to find someone --- a loved one, a family member, a friend, a colleague --- who has heard the words --- "you have cancer."

As many of you know, on May 12, 2010, my beloved wife Jennifer lost her courageous battle against cancer which she fought with great dignity and humor.  While my son, Adam, and I continue to mourn our loss, we remain so grateful for the almost 6 years we lived life to its fullest after Jennifer's diagnosis. 

Due to the gracious generosity of so many people since 2006 (the year Jennifer, Adam and I began to Relay), I am convinced that Adam and I received the gift of those 6 years because you opened your hearts and wallets to help us raise tens of thousands of dollars.  These funds support the research and provide the services that were so important to Jennifer, and so many others who continue to battle cancer every day.  New treatments are being developed every day.  Your generosity has made the research, services and new treatments possible.

In honor of my beloved best friend and wife, I am asking for your support again this year.  Together, since 2006, we have raised over $90,000.  My goal is to reach $100,000. 

What it all comes down to --- is --- will you help?

The Realy is scheduled for April 5 - 6 --- you can count on Adam and I being at the Relay to support all those who are battling cancer, to honor those who have lost that battle, and to also honor all of you who give to this most worthy cause.
