Why I Relay
My reason for participating in the Relay For Life event is personal.
This is my opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and help raise funds for groundbreaking research, information and services for people fighting cancer.
I Relay in memory of Brooke, Kendra, Tom's dad, Ann Michele, Sheridan, Elizabeth's mom and others.
I Relay in honor of Megan, Mandi, Jan Ette, Anne's sister, Katie's dad, Marshall, all the kids on floor 10, my brother and others.
Why I Support the American Cancer Society
I've had friends who fought breast cancer, bone cancer, liver cancer, ovarian cancer, skin cancer and my brother is in treatment for leukemia. ACS helps fund research that saves lives and helps patients and their families regardless of cancer type.
ACS provides free information and services when and where people need it throughout their journey to get well. They are investing in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat, and cure cancer, and are working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight.
