Why are we walking?

As you all know, this year I finally completed my breast cancer treatment:  one and a half year of diagnosis, surgery, chemo, hormonal therapy, and my final surgery, just one month ago.  While it was the most challenging thing I have ever gone through, I could not have done it without the support of friends, family, employer, and of course the doctors and miracle drugs!

I am fortunate.  The costs of cancer treatment are ENORMOUS.  Not everyone is as lucky as I was.

I know you all support a myriad of your own personal charities throughout the year.  I would just like you to please consider making a small donation to help others who may not have the resources I do.  It is amazing how much support that organizations like this give to those who are diagnosed.

On October 31, Chris, Cecelia and I will be walking in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event with Chris' Catholic University Law Review Team. I hope you will join me in my effort by signing up to join my team (if you are local) or making a donation in support of my participation.  If everyone gives just $5--we will make our family goal.
