Why am I walking?

My motives for participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer are very simple. I have seen, up close and personal, the affects of this dreadful decease. My dear friends Charlene Abbott and Donna Askren are currently battling breast cancer. My husband's first wife and the mother of two of our dear children is fighting this desease and has lost several members of her family to breast cancer. My great friend and mentor, George Weimer was lost to colon cancer last year. I am forever changed in knowing and loving these people.

Whatever passion I may have for this cause is centered in my love for these people. Every single dollar raised will give these wonderful women hope for a cure. Every dollar raised will give these beautiful, brave women more time with their families and friends.
