More Determined Than Ever

 More than 12,000 walkers were in attendance at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Providence, and The American Cancer Society raised more than $900,000!  90 cents of every dollar supports breast cancer research, advocacy, education, and services.  To view pictures of the walk or for additional information, please visit the Providence Making Strides Against Breast Cancer website.
 
Cat Country would like to help the American Cancer Society reach its goal of $1 Million dollars raised for the 2009 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.  Anyone that pledges an online donation to our Cat Country team by Sunday, November 8th is eligible to win an autographed Epiphone acoustic guitar signed by each member of Little Big Town!  The guitar alone is valued at more than $125...but with the autographs, it's priceless!  Please click here to donate today.  A winner will be chosen and contacted on Monday, November 9th.

What is Making Strides?

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Providence, RI is 1 of 21 such events happening in New England in October.

Location:
 Roger Williams Park, Temple to Music, Elmwood Avenue, Providence
Registration opens:  7:30 a.m.  
Rolling start: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.         

Walk length:  3.2 miles

The event unites people of all ages with a common goal to fight breast cancer and save lives. Chances are, you’ve been affected by breast cancer in some way, and Making Strides gives you the power to fight back and make a difference. In fact, the American Cancer Society has invested $388 million nationwide in breast cancer research since 1971!

This noncompetitive walk has no registration fee and no fundraising minimum. We’ve provided fun and easy-to-use online tools that allow you to personalize your experience. Whether you upload a photo, tell your story, or add your fundraising thermometer to your Facebook page, you can make this experience your own and share with others your reason for making strides.
