On behalf of the American Cancer Society and breast cancer patients and their families throughout Lincoln, thank you for the wonderful support you and your team members gave to the 13th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event on Sunday, October 27. Your enthusiasm made the day inspiring and fun, enabling us to raise nearly $275,000 to help people stay well, help people get well, to find cures and to fight back against breast cancer. More than 6,000 incredible walkers participated! Hundreds of survivors were recognized and many loved ones were remembered throughout the day.

Want to eliminate Breast Cancer? Sarah does.
She is currently our top fundraiser and nearly a Pacesetter!
Sarah started her journey supporting the cause, attending the Making Strides Kickoff Breakfast and requesting additional materials to build the awareness while raising the necessary funds,
but that is when the “$#!% just got real”… more
“You don’t really realize how much it affects everybody until you have it…”

Stranded motorists in Omaha and Lincoln shouldn’t be surprised if they see a hot pink tow truck coming to their aid. AAA is wrapping some of its classic red, white and blue tow trucks and service vehicles the color pink to raise awareness of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in collaboration with the American Cancer Society.
AAA will also provide free roadside assistance at the walk events to any participants who may have car troubles with lockouts, flat tires or dead batteries.

The fight to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Take that step with us at one of our American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks. Just a few hours of your time at one of the non-competitive, 3 to 5 mile events will help bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families.
Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
Sign up today and let's finish the fight against breast cancer.
