Message from our Co-Chairs
Dear Friend and Golfer,
2018 Distinguished Events Co-Chairs: George Young & Paul C. Murphy M.D., Murphy Sports Medicine
On behalf of our Partnership Council, we would like to welcome you and say thank you for joining San Diego business and community leaders for a spectacular day of golf networking and entertainment to support The American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate lives,
and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
As we prepare for our 15th annual event, we would like to thank the many corporate sponsors and players who have continued to support our efforts each year. Your contributions have made it possible for the American Cancer Society to fund more than $150 million in life-saving cancer research in San Diego Institutions such as UC San Diego Moores Cancer center, The Ludwig Institute San Diego, The Scripps Research Institute, The Salk and Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. Because of your support, the American Cancer Society is the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in the nation. Each day the Society strives to continue to be a trailblazer in the area of cancer research while providing support to cancer survivors and their caregivers. With over $3 billion invested in research and more than 47 Nobel Prize winners funded by the Society, we are getting closer to a world without cancer.
This year's tournament will be like no other as we band together to beat back a disease that has taken so many we know and love. Please come out and support us. Together, we can make 2018 the most successful San Diego Invitational ever!
We look forward to seeing you this year at La Jolla Country Club as we continue our fight against cancer while doing something that we all love --- GOLF! All participants will receive luxurious gifts, hosted daylong hospitality, refreshments, lunch, cocktail reception, and buffet dinner. We will conclude the day with a live auction, providing an additional opportunity to support this worthy cause. Please take the time to register your team and know we appreciate your support. See you on May 21, 2018.
