Cure By Design is a premiere social event hosted by the American Cancer Society and supported by corporate sponsors throughout Central Virginia.  The monies raised through Cure By Design support cancer research, as well as free educational support programs and patient services.

Richmond's 8th Annual Cure By Design, developed and coordinated by New York designer Alex Garfield, brings the fashion, design and retail communities together with the local corporate community. The focus of this special evening is a fashion show that spotlights designer fashions and, more importantly, the local cancer survivors who model them. The survivor models demonstrate the daily progress being made in the fight against cancer, and portray a message of hope for a cure.
