Please join the American Cancer Society to save lives and create a world with more birthdays.

Join us at the American Cancer Society's Houston Corks and Forks event. Get ready to be wined and dined as our event offers a unique experience that will introduce culinary delights paired with fantastic libations. You will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food tastings with wine/champagne pairings, a silent auction, superior entertainment, and lots of unique surprises! You can also vote for your favorite chef, enjoy the awards ceremony, and strike a pose in your finest party attire for our photographer.

Please remember, because of the generosity of people like you, the American Cancer Society is able to provide vital services for cancer patients and their loved ones, as well as support research, education, and advocacy efforts in local communities and across the country. In addition, the American Cancer Society is raising $30 million to construct and operate a Hope Lodge® community in Houston, which will provide free overnight lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers who have to travel away from home for treatment. We need continued support and funding from our community to help bring this project to fruition. Together, with forward movement, aspiration, and growth, we can continue to save more lives from cancer through research, support, and our united desire to eradicate this disease!

For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that we helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. Now that’s a reason to party, so join us!

We hope to see you there!
