Message from the Chair

The American Cancer Society's 7th annual Black and White Gala is going to be an evening of hope and an evening we hope you will never forget.

Cancer does not discriminate or negotiate regardless of age, race, gender, or national origin. It is a harsh reality that has affected each and every one of us in one way or another. However, the Black and White Gala will be an evening to fight back and continue to move forward to celebrating more birthdays!

This year, we are honored to have ten Spirit of Hope Honorees that prove celebrating more birthdays is possible, and a gala committee that is comprised of people passionate about an Acadiana with less cancer.

I would like to thank the sponsors for their generous contributions and commitment to help fight the cause. Thank you volunteers for taking the time out of your schedule to ensure the success of this year's event. Last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to each committee member for their hard work and time spent throughout the year for making tonight possible.

It is our hope that you enjoy an evening of laughter and joy with friends and family at the Black and White Gala this year. The battle of fighting cancer does not end here. This continues each day until we are able to live in a world free of cancer.

Thank you for your support,

Andrew Bellard
