American Cancer Society's
Black and White Gala
Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 7:00pm - 11:00pm
at the UL Lafayette Atchafalaya Ballroom
Please join us at the 7th Annual American Cancer Society Black and White Gala on Saturday, September 9, 2017. This exquisite evening includes delicious local cuisine, dancing, live and silent auctions and more. Our event is well known to be one of a kind and a night to remember as Acadiana gathers for a wonderful cause. This event allows locals to help the American Cancer Society continue to save lives and celebrate more birthdays. By joining us at the Gala, you can help people get well and stay well, find cures and fight back against a disease that has taken too many lives.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every type of cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that we helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. That’s a reason to party, so join us!
We look forward to seeing you there!
