189 Miles Ran

$5 Match Balance

For this year's Broad Street Run, I really want to make my best effort for both the race itself, as well as raising as much money as possible through DetermiNation.  Left to my own devices, I would probably find myself in May staring down a $500 credit card bill sitting atop a mountain of Chipotle wrappers, while my running shoes collect dust and numerous spider webs.  So, to properly incentivize myself, I'm trying something a little interesting.  For every $10 I raise, I will commit to run 1 mile to train for the race.  If by May 5 I have a 'remaining balance' on miles, I am pledging to match the remaining dollar balance in donations, up to $5,000.

I'm hoping this commitment may get a little attention, and both get me in great shape and generate a lot of money for The American Cancer Society.  I'll make periodic updates as to miles ran, miles owed, and the remaining 'balance' that I'll have to match between now and the race.  Additionally, if running isn't really your thing (like me!) you are welcome to offer up an alternative training session I will have to do in order to 'redeem' the donated amount.  I'm banking on being very desperate for the opportunity to do something other than running.  You can email me at MakeMeRegretThis@gmail.com to discuss.

Thank you so much for your support!
