DetermiNation for the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! DetermiNation participants receive
free training, DetermiNation gear, fundraising support and access to our VIP
Village at the Congress Hotel (across the street from the corral entrance).
Free training is provided through Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) and Chicago
Endurance Sports (CES). Participants have multiple fundraising options when joining our team:
- If you still need an entry to the Chicago Marathon you can join our team with a fundraising minimum of $1,500. Participants are responsible for paying the race entry fee of $185, but you will receive all other training benefits listed above. The Chicago Marathon requires all charities to have a fundraising minimum of at least $1,500 for guaranteed entries received at this time.
- If you would like to have a free race entry (paid for by the American Cancer Society), you can commit to a higher minimum of $1,900 and you must raise at least $500 of this total by May 15.
- If you have your own entry (that you achieve through a qualifying time, legacy, 2015 deferment, or if you were selected in the 2016 drawing) you can join our team without a fundraising minimum. If you wish to receive full team benefits of training and access to our race day space at the Congress Hotel we ask you raise at least $1,000.
