United to Fight Cancer!

At the end of last year, in the usual blur of holiday craziness, we found out that my mom, Maeve & Will's beloved Nana, was diagnosed with colon and breast cancer.

Getting this news sucks.  There is no other way to say it. But as my mom always says, "It is what it is." She is facing this with the strength, bravery and humor that she's instilled in my sister and me our entire lives.

And as she begins her year of treatment, there wasn't much of a question in my mind as to one of the things that Pete and I would be doing this year.  Over the years, we'd raced in honor of friends, in memory of loved ones and in support of strangers. Obviously, we would now run for her.

So after a 5 year hiatus, Pete and I are coming out of endurance racing retirement to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer and will be running the NJ Half Marathon in support of my Warrior Mom. Our mission is clear – keep fighting for the day when no one hears the words “you have cancer.”

Please join us in the fight – donate to our team and help us save more lives!

Why We Support the American Cancer Society

Our team’s participation supports the American Cancer Society, the leader in the fight to end cancer.  The donations our team raises will enable investments in groundbreaking cancer research and free information and services for people facing cancer. For more than a century, the American Cancer Society has led the way in the fight to end cancer – and we are excited to be part of their team.

Cheer us on!
