Last year my mother, Brenda Siegal, successfully battled Breast Cancer.  This year I'm joining the fight against Cancer by dedicating my third New York City Marathon (on Nov. 1 2009) to my Mother and to others close to me that have battled Cancer.  Every dollar raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society to help conquer this disease.

Sixteen weeks ago I set a fundraising goal of raising $5000 in donations. Thanks to the generosity of my friends and family that goal has been achieved at record pace, so I've now set a new goal of raising $6000 by Marathon Day. 

I know that many of you already give to several organizations, maybe even the fight against cancer, so please know that any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Donating online is easy, and you can donate now.  Together we can all help bring hope to those currently facing this disease.
