$5 donation gets you in the door and gets you a raffle ticket. Come by and sign yourself up! We have lots of prizes to raffle off including day passes to Steven's Pass, a snowboard, and tons of other cool things. Beer and drink specials, snow videos, and tons of fun with all proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society.
Hope on the Slopes is a 24-hour ski and snowboard event at Stevens Pass Washington. All donations are in support of the American Cancer Society.
Once again the HOTS will be held at Stevens Pass. The mountain will be open all night with the Tye Creek Lodge and the Pacific Crest Lodge open as well.
We are also working on a fresh tracks program that gets you up on the hill an hour before the rest of the crowd...more details coming soon.
Donation Challenge
Teams of people or individuals help to get donations and pledges to keep riding the entire night. All of the donations go to help the fight against cancer. Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony
Vertical Endurance Challenge
The Vertical Endurance Challenge is to see which team or individual can ride the entire 24 hours. Each particicpant has to take a few chair rides every hour in order to remain in the endurance challenge. Participation in the slalom race, rail jam, and poker laps will count as an hour of runs as well. The person and team with the most vertical hours wins.
Poker Lap Challenge
Poker Laps are an hourly game where cards will be handed out at the top of a pre determined run. Cards are limited so you will have to keep a close eye on your watch. Whoever has the best 5 card hand at the end of the day wins a prize!
The schedule for HOTS will be:
- 7:30 am Registration starts.
- 8:00 am Fresh tracks begin.
- 9:00 am Endurance Challenge tracking begins.
- 11:00 am Poker Lap Starts (Lift location TBD.)
- 1:00 pm Poker Lap #2 (Lift location TBD.)
- 2:00 pm Rail Jam in the Top Phlight Terrain Park.
- 3:00 pm Poker Lap #3 (Lift location TBD.)
- 3:00 pm Slalom racing event.
- 5:00 pm Poker Lap #4 (Lift location TBD.)
- 5:00 pm REGISTRATION AND DONATIONS END.
- 7:00 pm Poker Lap #5 (Lift location TBD.)
- 9:00 pm Poker Lap #6 (Lift location TBD.)
- 10:00 pm Spaghetti feed.
- 11:00 pm Closing ceremony.
- 11:30 pm Luminaria ceremony.
- 12:00 am Free ride all night.
- 9:00 am Event concludes.
