NEW THIS YEAR - We will be holding a Half-Mile Kids' Fun Run prior to the 5K as well as a family-friendly "FanZone" area to enjoy post-race!

For six years in a row, the Boston College Men's Basketball team partnered with the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer program to hold the Boston College Coaches vs. Cancer 5K Classic. Bringing the same excitement and dedication that they bring to the court, the Men's Basketball team, along with Boston College students, faculty, and local residents have raised over $32,000. Coach Jim Christian is excited to keep the tradition going!

This year, we are hoping that even more students, faculty and alumni will join us as we race through the Boston College campus to help further the American Cancer Society mission of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays!

Awards:
Top three finishers of each age group will receive race medals.

There will also be prizes for the following team competitions:

- The top two-person teams, based on combined times
- That team that has raised the most money before race day
- The largest team

Course:
The course will take participants through the streets of the Boston College campus. Water stops and mile splits will be available at each mile marker.

T-Shirts:
T-shirts will be given to the first 250 participants registered. Register today so you can be sure to receive a free t-shirt!

The Coaches vs. Cancer program empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to take action in the fight against cancer by participating in awareness efforts, advocacy programs, and fundraising activities. Be a champion for action! Join the fight to end cancer by raising funds and awareness!

Your participation allows the American Cancer Society to help people facing cancer today and find cures to end the disease tomorrow. Through sponsorship, and the fundraising efforts of our participants, we will finish the fight against cancer.
