The American Cancer Society’s 29th Annual Climb to Conquer Cancer non-competitive hike. Participants enjoy camaraderie, food, fun and entertainment as they make strides towards a cure. The cool darkness of March’s early morning gives way to sunshine and blue skies as thousands of Arizonans Climb to Conquer Cancer, one of the most popular fund-raising events in Tucson. Everyone is invited to participate.
Hikers, runners, wheelchairs and strollers all make their way up to the top of “A” Mountain, approximately a 3.1 mile distance.Participants are rewarded with the positive energy of saving and bettering lives, the feeling of accomplishing a beautiful trek up one of the most scenic mountains in Arizona, “A” Mountain. The event concludes with a fun, family festival full of activities for children, teens, adults and seniors. Food and entertainment at the top of “A” Mountain add to the festivities.
