The 2010 Shave to Save events will feature great supporting guests from the Kansas City community including Shave to Save guest emcee Gary Lezak from NBC Action News and Wine Tasting & Auction host Dave Fogel from Star 102.

Shave to Save is an event where men and women volunteer to shave their heads in honor or memory of someone that has been touched by cancer. Established in 2001, Shave to Save has raised over $750,000 for American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge of Kansas City. We’d like to invite you to join the Shave to Save campaign and cheer on local corporate and community leaders as they shave their heads in support of those fighting against cancer on May 6, 2010.

Companies and Shavee’s alike raise funds to reach a total event goal of $150,000 each year. Each shavee is provided with a fundraising kit that includes ideas, techniques and materials to help them get started. At the Shave to Save Luncheon, co-workers, friends, and family members are invited to host tables and show their support as each shavee’s head is shaved.

With your help, the American Cancer Society can continue its lifesaving work to help those touched by cancer; empower people to fight back against this disease, and save lives.
