LOCATION:  Manastash Ridge, locally referred to as The Ridge, is in Central WA near Ellensburg.

DIRECTIONS: From Exit 106 on I-90 (Interstate 90), turn south at KOA Campground. Cross river; then left on Hanson Road. Drive Hanson Road to stop sign; then left on Cove Road.

THE CLIMB: This event is the most fun when you're part of a team, but individuals are welcome as well. Just show up before noon the 2nd Sunday in October and hike The Ridge together. All ages welcome! The Ridge is a strenuous and challenging 2.3 mile hike to the top, gaining 1,700' elevation. Trails have some slippery slopes, so good traction shoes are strongly advised. We'll have plenty of water for you.

THE INCENTIVE: Conqueing cancer, of course!  To that end, please try to raise at least $100 in donations. While that is a goal, don't let that keep you from coming. Prizes will be awarded to the individual and teams responsible for bringing in the most contributions, but the real incentive is to beat this dreaded disease!

THE METHOD: While it's best to register online ahead of time in order to ask friends and family to help support your cause, you're welcome to just show up and register at the event. If you have friends or family that want to donate, but not use their credit card, checks can be mailed to American Cancer Society, Climb to Conquer Cancer, 7325 W Deschutes Ave, Suite A, Kennewick WA 99336.

THE FESTIVAL: Entertainment, refreshments, awards, prizes and sports massages!

T-SHIRTS: Yup, you'll get one just for participating. Register online early to make sure we'll have your size at the event.

Team members signed up before September 1st can get a customized, specially designed team shirt if your team has at least 10 members!  Submit your artwork in .jpg, maximum 8 1/2 x 11, and that's what will be on the back of your shirt.  Pretty cool, eh?

PARKING: If on-site parking is full, you'll be directed to an off-site lot where HopeSource vans will haul you to the Climb site. If you want to just carpool the last 5 miles, you're welcome to leave a car parked in the big gravel lot just past the State Patrol building.

REGISTRATION FEE: $35 registration fee is tax-deductible.
