Do you like to ski or snowboard?  Has cancer touched your life by afflicting you or someone you love?  Do you want to help in the cause to make cancer a thing of the past?  If you answered “Yes” to any these questions, then you should consider skiing or boarding in “Hope on the Slopes – 2009”!!!   “Hope on the Slopes” (HOTS) is a 24 hour ski and snowboard event benefiting the American Cancer Society (ACS).

For 2009, HOTS will be conducted at seven mountains, including:

White Pass , WA                        Stevens Pass , WA

Crystal Mountain , WA              Mount Spokane , WA

Breckenridge, CO                    Greek Peak , NY

Mount Hood Ski Bowl, OR

In 2008, two Washington state HOTS events drew over 500 participants that raised a total of $165,000.   HOTS participants ask supporters to make donations to ACS in recognition of their commitment to ski as many vertical feet as they can over the course of a 24 hour period.   All fundraising is done via an ACS website where participants establish a personal fundraising web page to share their message and show their progress.

“Hope on the Slopes” in Western Washington will be conducted in 2009 as follows:

March 7th – 8th            Stevens Pass

March 14th – 15th        White Pass

March 29th                  Crystal Pass
