As a prostate cancer survivor and one of the founders of RUN FOR DAD, I have formed a team to support the efforts to raise awareness and educate men and their families about prostate cancer.  While awareness and education are very important, it is also necessary to support research into the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer.  I am very proud of what we have done to make RUN FOR DAD the premier prostate cancer event in the state of New Jersey.  Every year on Father's Day, men, women, and children join us for a 5K run, a 2-mile walk and the kids RUN FOR DAD.  It is a community and family event with fun activities for the children, educational activities for adults, music and lots of prizes.  We make a special effort to recognize survivors who receive a special blue bib number, a gift and recognition from everyone.
