Be sure to include your Name/Team Name on or with the check.
There is a registration fee of $10 per participant but no required pledge minimum or maximum to fundraise. You are required to turn in pledges (of any amount) to participate and take part in the GWB Challenge Picnic.
To receive the official 2009 GWB Challenge t-shirt, you must raise and turn in a minimum of $100 in pledges. Please remember that this is a fundraising event to support the mission of the American Cancer Society, so we ask that you try to raise as much as you can for the fight against cancer!
The GWB Challenge takes place rain or shine. However, if the weather becomes dangerous or threatening, the routes may be shortened, altered, or closed.
Strollers are allowed on the bridge.
Dogs are not allowed onto the bridge but are allowed at the picnic.
Yes, children are allowed to participate but they do not have to register unless they raise funds and would like to have that counted towards their team/personal goal.
The American Cancer Society maintains records of all contributions. The Society may contact you with further communications. You can choose to opt out from further financial contribution activities or any contact from the Society. For more information, see the Society’s Privacy Policy. Convio collects and maintains only personal information that is voluntarily submitted to us through the web site. Convio will not share personally identifiable information with a third party unless the individual submitting this information has given permission, or if Convio is required to by law.

Yes, the American Cancer Society has made every effort to protect your information. We use industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card information, passwords, and personal information travel securely over the Internet. We have also installed an encryption engine on our database server so that your data is securely stored.
You will receive an email confirmation after completing your donation and credit card information. This email is your official gift receipt, and you may print it and save it for your records. If you do not receive a gift receipt, please contact your online chair, local staff member, or event chair.
If you would like to make a donation to a specific participant, you may print a donation form by clicking on the printable donation form link on the participant’s personal donation page. Complete the form and mail it to your local American Cancer Society office.
