Dear Friends,

Once again I am walking with Mattie and Meggie in the American Cancer Society's Dogswalk and I am asking for your support. For the last two years, you have generously helped us achieve Golden Bone Awards for our fundraising efforts. I hope, despite the difficult economy, that you will be able to contribute this year as well.

The last two years we have walked in memory of my dog Gwyn, who died four years ago from nasal cancer. In 2008, I lost a dear friend, Karna, one of The Babes*, who succumbed to breast cancer. She was one of the bravest and most upbeat people I have ever known, and she fought her disease valiantly. So it is in her memory as well that Meggie, Mattie and I walk. We will be joined by another Babe, Lenore, who will walk Mattie. (Lenore is also Meggie's godmother. :})

Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Together we can make a difference!
