February 2nd is known to most as Groundhog Day. This day is used to see if we will have an early Spring or another few weeks of Winter with the help of two rodents potentially seeing their shadows. This year February 2nd marked two moments of my family's history: my father's 65th birthday and the passing of my aunt. My father, Stephen Linetsky, fought against prostate cancer longer than most and succombed to it June 4, 2007. His last few days were of apologies and renewing family bonds. The theory is he let himself go when he knew I was finally going to graduate from college. My aunt, Paulette Dollinger, also fought against cancer- uterine cancer. A meer 18 months after she was the epitomy of health at her wedding to my new uncle Greg, Paulette wasn't able to hold on any longer. It is in honor of them and everyone else in my family, my friends, coworkers and others I've known who've had to fight against cancer that I join this event. Please either join my team to walk or make a donation to my team so we can continue the fight they weren't able to continue. The 5th Annual Take Your Base Coney Island Boardwalk Sunday, June 21, 2009 Thank you all for your support and I love you all. Jason
