Together we can make a difference!

This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words "You have cancer," and there's a good chance that some of them will be people we know and love. I have chosen to fight back against this disease and help make a difference by supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service

I have chosen to work towards my very first 5k in honor of my Grandpa.  My Grandfather, Ed McGeary, has survived a number of different types of Cancer and each time comes back stronger!  He is an inciredibly loving, kind and compassionate man who I continually look up to!  He is my inspiration to reach far beyond all of my goals!

In addition to running in honor of my grandfather I have decided to run in honor of my Mother In Law, Hilda Wyckoff Stella.  Hilda lost her battle with breast cancer when my husband was only 15 years old.  Hilda was an incredible woman with amazing strength and endless love for her family and friends.  She was taken far too soon and all of us, those who knew her and those who wish we did, miss her each day!

Her fight and the fight of so many others pushes me even further, each day, as I work towards June 14th. 

Together we can work together to help others to be just as strong and fight and win against Cancer!!  Please help me to reach my goals and help to beat Cancer!
