We were able to honor 113 survivors

We lit 1848 luminarias

We raised $131, 485 to support the American Cancer Society’s Mission!!!!!!!!!!!!

We could not have achieved this without the support from all of our participants and teams so we are sending a Big Thank You to you!!!!!!!! You worked hard to make this event a success and it is greatly appreciated.

Relay For Life Oath

“In the name of all Relay For Life participants I confirm that we are here to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, to support those fighting cancer, and to honor those we have lost. Our commitment will be symbolized in every step we take, each and every one moving us nearer to our goal, the goal of a cancer free world for future generations."

WHAT IS RELAY FOR LIFE?
Nationwide, Relay For Life events raise about $1 million per day to benefit the American Cancer Society. This money goes to fund scientists performing cancer research and to patient support programs such as Locks For Love and Hope Hospitals. However, Relay is much more than a fundraiser. It is a healing service for anyone who has been touched by cancer, and provides a time to honor cancer survivors and remember those who have lost the battle. Aquidneck Island Relay is an 18-hour event that features ceremonies, speakers, entertainment, camping out, and all-night fun. Statistically, 33% of females and 45% of males get cancer at some point in their lifetimes, so this is truly a disease that touches everyone. Please support the Relay For Life of Aquidnekc Island by making a donation to help the American Cancer Society meet their "2015 Goal": to eradicate suffering and death from cancer by 2015.
