Our Reason to Relay
|
ECU's GeoClub & Friends have decided to participate in Relay for Life because we have had the privilege of having the lovely Ms. Katie Ball in our lives. Katie began her graduate program in Geography in the Fall of 2006 here at ECU. She quickly became the life of the department carrying a smile and an amazing spirit throughout the Brewster building. She was diagnosed with Angio-Sarcoma (a cancer of the soft connective tissues and muscles) in July 2007 and fought an extremely difficult battle-- she did so courageously until December 14, 2007. We all continue to be touched by the strength of the incredible spirit she exuded throughout her fight. We began this endeavor to lift her spirit and it brought tears to her eyes to know we were doing so. Katie's spirit lives on, and we could not be more motivated to raise money in an effort to save others' lives. Please help us in our effort.
Please help us raise funds to celebrate those who are currently fighting and those who have survived cancer, remembering the people we've lost, and supporting the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society.
When you make a donation or join our team, you are helping deliver the hope that future generations will not have to endure cancer threatening the lives of their friends and family. You have the power to fight back against a disease that affects millions.
