My Reason to Relay

I'm doing Relay For Life in memory of two important people in my life, both of whom passed away from Leukemia, but in very different circumstances.

My Grandpa passed away five years ago at the age of 81. He was a sweet, genuine person who was always smiling, and I miss him very much. My Grandpa was really funny too; one year we bought him an "insultinator" toy (just google "insultinator" and you should see what I'm talking about) to help him yell at the-damn-politicians-on-the-TV. He was very smart and unique, and I'll always remember him.

Julie was my babysitter when I was a kid. She was the nicest of all of the babysitters, and my sister and I LOVED when she was the one watching us. One time, she brought over these amazing markers that changed colors when you crossed lines, and we spent all evening drawing pictures with her. Julie passed away at age 14 due to Leukemia. In her short life, she made a huge impact on everyone around her, even the little kids she babysat.

It is no exaggeration when people say "everyone has been affected somehow by cancer", it's just fact. I do Relay to support research done into the nature of this prevalent disease, and I'd love it if you'd help me by donating!
